Nordic Day – Combatting Climate Change

October 21, 2015

How can cities and businesses be part of the solution to climate change? The five Nordic embassies in Washington, D.C. – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – invite you to share fresh thoughts and innovative ideas with us at the first-ever Nordic Day!

We welcome you to learn about Nordic solutions, share best practices, and discuss common goals and challenges in light of the upcoming Climate Change Conference in Paris.

The all-day Nordic Day program begins at the Embassy of Sweden with the “Business Solutions to Climate Change” event. Visionary Nordic companies will speak about sustainable ways of working and display innovations to combat climate change.

The afternoon session, “Cities Tackling Climate Change,” will be held at the Embassy of Finland. Five green Nordic cities and municipalities will present their ongoing initiatives and discuss how they’re leading the way to a more sustainable future.

The day will conclude with a networking reception at the Embassy of Norway.
